Well, it's that time of year again - time to remember all that we are thankful for, those we miss, those we love, and for what we have. Here's a little poem that I think sums up what I'm trying to say:

Make a memory with your children, Spend some time to show you care;
Toys and trinkets can't replace those Precious moments that you share.

Money doesn't buy real pleasure, It doesn't matter where you live;
Children need your own attention, Something only you can give.

Childhood's days pass all too quickly, Happy memories all too few;
Plan to do that special something, Take the time to go or do.

Make a memory with your children, Take the time in busy days;.
Have some fun while they are growing, Show your love in gentle ways.

Black Friday Teen Night at Skateland

What better way to work off Thanksgiving dinner than a fun and safe teen night dance? Black Friday Teen Night at Skateland invites everyone ages 18 and under to dance this way on Nov. 27, 2009. Admission is $10.00 at the door - doors open at 10:30 p.m. DJ Twist will be on the 1's and 2's - will be an awesome event!!

Roller derby is a truly exciting, made in America sport, dating back to 1844. EIGHTEEN FORTY-FOUR!!! How many things dating back that far are still in existence?

Just "Whip It"!

In excitement and anticipation of the Indianapolis release of the roller derby movie "Whip It" starring Ellen Page and Drew Barrymore, in Ms. Barrymore's directorial debut - The Naptown Roller Girls will be at Skateland on Sunday, October 11, 2009 - from 6:30-9:00 p.m. They will be signing autographs,

performing demonstrations, and hosting a question and answer session on roller derby and the movie. This is the first time we've had a unique opportunity like this, you won't want to miss it.
